Hot bite and happy crew! Lora and their crew of four joined me for a winter morning charter right at 7:30 am, and the partly cloudy skies made for perfect fishing conditions here in Steinhatchee. The weather stayed comfortable throughout our half day on the water, and we were ready to get lines in the water with Rocky Creek Charters for our Morning on the water with Captain Frank – reel in top coastal species and lock in your spot today adventure.

Once the stage was set, we focused our efforts on inshore fishing using a combination of drift fishing, bottom fishing, and live bait fishing techniques. Steinhatchee's waters are perfect for this type of fishing because the area holds great structure and current that attracts speckled trout consistently. The bite was hot early on, and we managed to put some nice speckled trout in the cooler using our live bait setup. We wrapped up the trip with bent rods all morning and smiles all around!
